“Climate Chancellor” Merkel has failed – opinion

WirtschaftsWoche

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and her government have failed on climate protection policy and have not been able to come up with a vision for the green transformation of the economy, writes Cordula Tutt in an opinion piece in German business weekly WirtschaftsWoche. “In Germany, there are no signs of more economical buildings or lower-emission traffic. The energy revolution in the electricity sector has also become an expensive sham. That is the Merkel résumé,” writes Tutt.
