“We will not leave developing countries alone” – environment minister

Clean Energy Wire

Germany will not leave developing countries alone in dealing with climate protection and adaptation to climate change, said German environment minister Svenja Schulze ahead of the start of the 24th UN climate change conference (COP4) in Poland. “We need solidarity between rich and poor countries,” said Schulze in a press release. The international community needs courage and confidence to work together on climate action in the coming years in order to fight climate change. Especially in difficult times, the UN climate conference is “always an opportunity for global cohesion and multilateralism,” said Schulze.
