VZBV - Federation of German Consumer Organisations
Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband
The VZBV is an umbrella group for 41 German consumer associations. One of its main objectives is to “improve transparency regarding production, characteristics and quality of goods and services”. The group campaigns at national and European levels. Consumer centres across the 16 German federal states (Verbraucherzentralen) provide advice. The VZBV runs a team on energy and mobility.
The VZBV is funded by the Federal Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Nutrition and Agriculture and through member fees and project funds.
