Clean Energy Wire

Prices for heating oil have increased by 37 percent over one year in Germany while gas prices only climbed by one percent, price comparison website Check24 says in a press release. Despite relatively mild weather in 2017 and 2018, the average family now pays about 45 euros more per year. “Heating with oil has become more expensive than gas for the first time since 2014,” the press release says.
