NABU - Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union

This environment group has over 520,000 members and sponsors. Since its start in 1899, it has been committed to  the protection of threatened species and habitats, climate protection and energy policy. The NABU promotes in general renewables like wind energy. However, the union is often critical of projects which they see as a threat to birds and bats.
