"Inconvenient truths" about Germany’s climate policy

Germany’s government is creating a “climate chaos,” the tabloid newspaper Bild writes in a page two article. Despite the high costs of renewable power, the targets of the energy transition are far from being reached, the article says. Another point of criticism is that while power stations and industry have managed to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions since 1990, the transport, buildings, and agriculture sectors are not fulfilling their obligations. “At the same time, there’s a discussion about bans for low-CO₂ diesel cars. Lunacy!,” the article says.
