BMW and Porsche unveil new e-car supercharger that is twice as quick as Tesla’s

manager magazin

German car companies BMW and Porsche have introduced a super-fast charging station for e-cars that can provide enough energy for a ride of 100 kilometres in three minutes, business magazine manager magazin reports.  “In the race for dominance in electric mobility, German carmakers now strike back against US e-car pioneer Tesla,” the article says. Test vehicles suited for the “BMW-Porsche-Supercharger” were able to absorb 80 percent of their battery capacity within 15 minutes, for which Tesla needs about twice as long. But in contrast to the new German charger, Tesla's technology has already entered mass production, says the article.
